Opportunities occasionally arise where we are able to record video at PTA events with the permission of those involved. Some of the footage shows handlers and their dogs at a typical PTA training day – a friendly informal gathering where club trainers, volunteers, and members (and non members) get together to:
- train their dogs in a group environment using canvas dummies
- practice exercises using different scenarios
- tackle and discuss dog and handler problems
- learn new techniques
- pick up useful tips
Members also compete in working tests and field trials to test their skills in a competitive environment that mimics situations experienced in the field.
This archive will hopefully help to promote our sport and also encourage new members.
