Saturday 21st March 2026 &#8211; Packington Estate<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em><span style=\"color: #008000;\">&#8220;Today a team from Pennine, running for our parent club the NGRA, travelled down to the beautiful Packington Estate in Meriden near Coventry, to compete in the annual Intercounties Test, hosted by the Midland Gundog Society.<\/span><\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Our team was <span class=\"html-span xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak xexx8yu xyri2b x18d9i69 x1c1uobl x1hl2dhg x16tdsg8 x1vvkbs\"><span class=\"xt0psk2\"><span class=\"xjp7ctv\">Scott Marland<\/span><\/span><\/span>, <span class=\"html-span xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak xexx8yu xyri2b x18d9i69 x1c1uobl x1hl2dhg x16tdsg8 x1vvkbs\"><span class=\"xt0psk2\"><span class=\"xjp7ctv\">Roz Mcilroy<\/span><\/span><\/span> and <span class=\"html-span xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak xexx8yu xyri2b x18d9i69 x1c1uobl x1hl2dhg x16tdsg8 x1vvkbs\"><span class=\"xt0psk2\"><span class=\"xjp7ctv\">Nicky Waddington<\/span><\/span><\/span> running Brooke, Gunny and Skye. Karen Parkinson, <span class=\"html-span xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak xexx8yu xyri2b x18d9i69 x1c1uobl x1hl2dhg x16tdsg8 x1vvkbs\"><span class=\"xt0psk2\"><span class=\"xjp7ctv\">Andy Hall<\/span><\/span><\/span> and <span class=\"html-span xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak xexx8yu xyri2b x18d9i69 x1c1uobl x1hl2dhg x16tdsg8 x1vvkbs\"><span class=\"xt0psk2\"><span class=\"xjp7ctv\">Kim Howlett<\/span><\/span><\/span> were also in attendance to cheer the team on. There were 5 challenging tests &#8211; a variety of blinds and marks over pond, river, meadow, fallen trees (which they had to jump over) and a walked up test.<\/span><\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Scott, Roz and Nicky picked everything and were awarded a very creditable 2nd place (out of 15 teams) behind SEGS, who were the winners. Other than it ran like clockwork and was such a fabulous well organised day.<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><em>The weather was perfect and it stayed sunny all day, with no sign of the rain that had been forecast earlier in the week.<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><em>Thank you to Andrew Talbot and Graham McPherson for allowing us to use this fab venue, which is a mixture of woodlands and meadow.<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><em>Our Chief Steward was committee member Andy Hall who did a brilliant job welcoming over 70 handlers with their dogs,to take part in our Puppy, Novice Dog\/Novice Handler, Novice and Veteran tests.
